Seahawks Player Crashes Corvette After Leaving Training Center

Seattle Seahawks player Fred Jackson crashed his sports car while leaving the team's training facility, according to multiple reports.

The accident occurred just outside the Virginia Mason Athletic Center southeast of the Seattle, with Jackson driving a black Corvette. TMZ initially reported Jackson had been drag racing with teammate Marshawn Lynch, but Renton Police Cmdr. David Leibman said there was "no evidence of drag racing" in the crash.

A source told CBS that Jackson may have pulled out of the training center too fast. His car plowed into a planter box and then crashed into a stop sign.

The Seattle Times reports a team source said Jackson was uninjured. The source confirmed the running back was driving the car. Lynch wasn't involved and drove away from the scene.

Seattle Times photographer Bob Condotta tweeted these images of the crash.

The crash came a day after fellow Seahawk Derrick Coleman was reinstated following an arrest for a hit-and-run wreck in nearby Bellevue.

The Huffington Post wasn't immediately able to reach police or the Seahawks for comment.
